Joanna’s Baked Goods is a boutique baked goods shop that services NYC and Long Island, NY. In wanting to reach a wider audience, Joanna’s Baked Goods wanted a website that provided more services and showcase products better than Facebook could. Before the website, they had a following on Facebook and would showcase products through Facebook, but not be able to provide an ordering feature through it.

After an initial meeting, Wajig took the logo and created a design for the website. With the design, a shop to show all the products, along with a blog, was developed using WordPress. Wajig integrated Facebook and Twitter into the website so that each time a blog post, as well as a new product was entered into the website, it would appear on those social networks as well. Wajig also setup a MailChimp sign up form on the website so that Joanna’s Baked Goods can email market to her customers and anyone else interested. The most important feature is that a customer can now place an order online for every product sold.

Marketing agency, Six-Point Creative Works, partnered with Wajig to increase the level of services for their clients. Offering clients the ability to manage their own websites, allows Six Point the ability to accompany their marketing strategies with the content on the website.

Six-Point creates custom designs for each of their clients based on their marketing objectives and client branding. Those designs are then implemented by Wajig as a WordPress theme. The level of design and functionality push the envelope of the abilities to provide for a content management system, without overly complicating the administration. WordPress provides great flexibility and options which results in very successful and beautiful looking websites at launch. Wajig has implemented many designs for Six-Point and given Six Point options to push their designs to the next level.

With clients such as Russell Simmons, founder Keith Frawley wanted to bring his services to small and medium sized businesses as well.

Keith came to Wajig because it was a perfect fit for both companies. Both companies believe in delivering high quality services to customers at reasonable prices. It is also a partnership that marries both companies well since they each offer complimentary services. With the design and branding of Dingaroo and the application development and hosting services of Wajig, it’s a match made in the Cloud.

Cristina Vitiello, owner and designer of Cristina V, an eclectic and fashionable jewelry line for everyone. Cristina wanted to put her business online and be able to reach her customers at a level more than the many shows she attends each year.

CreativeTake Web was designing her website, and Wajig implemented the design on a dedicated instance running a Ruby on Rails solution. The Ruby on Rails ecommerce solution was chosen because of the robust, flexible, and efficiency it provides. With the social integration and custom development, Cristina has grown her business and been able to reach her customers each and every day. She provides her customers a new level of service that doesn’t just allow them to buy products anytime, but also be able to reach her and her team any hour of the day.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with the Wajig Team. When I first met with Jason a year ago, I had a long and specific list of capabilities that I would need to have control of if I were going to hire his team. He listened, asked some questions, and developed a solution to meet all of my requirements. That solution is now our website, inventory system, and one of many data tools that we use to analyze our business.

While I have complete control over cristinav.com, I work closely with Wajig to develop and implement new ideas, campaigns and tools. During the course of our work, the team has worked hard to meet my deadlines, once pulling an “all-nighter” for our official launch. The individuals at Wajig are clearly talented, but, more importantly they are open minded and determined to do whatever it takes to meet the visions and goals of their clients- even if it means working through the night!

Shop Owner, Jacqui Maggio wanted to take her boutique to the next level by placing it online and having the ability to purchase clothing through the website. Being in fashion, she knew exactly what she wanted to do not only design wise, but content wise as well, just needed the right team to make it happen for her. She was referred to Wajig and seeing as she happen to be only down the block from Wajig’s office, they took a walk down and met with her

The design direction and content was all created by shop owner, Jacqui Maggio. Fantastic direction on design and flow. After the meeting, Wajig took her direction on the design and implemented it on the WordPress platform. She wanted it to tie into her Facebook and Twitter accounts as well. Wajig provided Sophi Blu with a secure payment system for the customers to purchase the clothing and accessories through her website.

I was referred to Wajig through a mutual friend back in October of 2009. We met, had a meeting and began generating concepts on how and what I would like my website to be. I have a children’s boutique with medium to high-end clothing labels so I knew I wanted something edgy and chic. We went through websites that I liked and I also explained how I wanted it to look. I have a good designers eye, so I knew what I wanted it to look like and Wajig helped me create it. After the first comp I was very excited. They listened to exactly what I said and I knew the website would come out great.

I love the final project. Peter and the team are wonderful to work with. I have received so many compliments on the site already.

I highly recommend Wajig and the team. Thanks again guys!
– Jacqui Maggio

The Anguilla Tourist Board played an integral role in the 2011 season of The Bachelor. With the contestants of the show having romantic getaways at various spots on the island of Anguilla during Valentines Day, they wanted to showcase the island and all it’s offerings and services on the website.

With concern of the level of traffic the website would receive, Wajig was called upon to implement the website on a content management system that would be able to support the traffic. WordPress was configured on Wajig’s infrastructure so the website, initially, was on 2 dedicated servers with a load balancer to distribute the traffic equally between them. During traffic spikes, which occurred at the end of each show airing during Valentines Day across the US, Wajig’s configuration spawned as many as 18 dedicated instances to keep the performance of the website at a high level. Over the 3 day period, including Valentines Day, the website and cloud based, load balanced solution, server 3 million impressions.

Dr. John M. Abrahams reached out to Wajig for a development project that he had been trying to get off the ground for close to a year but didn’t have success with other developers. Wajig and Dr. Abrahams met and he explained the requirements of what he was looking for. Wajig then laid out an effective plan of attack on the project to be rolled out in a phased approach. Presented with the plan, Dr. Abrahams jumped on board, and with each weekly scrum, mdchat.com was that much closer to launch.

mdchat.com is a Ruby on Rails application that provides the medical industry an way of communication through messaging online. The idea is to speed up the level of service between doctors and/or medical technicians for their patients. Wajig provides the secure, load balanced infrastructure for the application. The sensitive patient information must be secure and encrypted.

You guys do great work. Jason has listened to and delivered beyond what I’ve asked for with each feature. He had a grasp of the concept right away and added value to it by putting in features that I didn’t even think about. I’m extremely happy with the level of work Wajig does.

Our first effort from Wajig Labs produced a Chrome Extension. This extension is much like that of ShowIP for Firefox, where it performs a lookup of the website you are currently viewing and reveals the IP address. It’s a simple extension, but great for those SysAdmins and developers and anyone for that matter who work in different environments. Especially those that are moving a website from one server to another. You can now with a press of a button see if the website is resolving to the correct server.

If you would like to check it out – you can find it in the Google Chrome Extensions Gallery. Please let us know of any enhancements you would like. Or any other suggestions for lab work, we’re always looking .

Update: March 18, 2010 In just about 3 weeks time, IP Reveal has had 200 downloads and well received feedback from users. Some enhancements have already been logged and on the roadmap for the next release. Thank you to all that have left feedback and downloaded the extension and your continued support.

He performs some of the most complex and unique brain and spinal surgeries in America. His patients have very unique situations that he wanted a way that he could interact with them via Questions and Answers, as well as being proactive by publishing his articles and publications online.

Dr. Abrahams wanted Wajig to design the site, but also develop a way his clients could submit questions directly to him, sa well as a customary contact form. Wajig designed the website and implemented it on the WordPress platform. Dr. Abrahams has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association as well as other medical publications and can post the documents on his blog so that other patients will be able to read his findings and procedures.
